Joey plays like a CM.

Hutch plays like a CB or FB being asked to play in CM.

I don’t think you are right, and I just can’t see Hutch getting a chance unless Joey picks up a knock. He’s certainly a very fine cover player. Which probably suits him given his history.

Yes, tend to agree, Hutchinson can do a job as an out and out shield in front of the defence, but isn’t enough of an all round midfielder. Pelupessy is not your stereotypical pivot, or defensive midfielder, but has enough defensive awareness to do a job for us He also has enough creative ability to keep the ball if required, and the vision to recycle quickly if needed

With Joey-Bannan-Reach playing...

P15. W10. D3. L2 (and one of those 2 defeats was Fulham with B.B. off after 30 minutes)

2.2 Pts per game - equates to 101 point season.

Interesting also to see the games where this trio didn’t play:-

QPR - no Bannan 4-2 defeat

Brentford - no Reach 2-0 defeat

Forest - no Joey 2-1 defeat

Every team needs a Pelupessy.

He does the dirty work well and he positions himself in the right places to cut off attacks.

He just needs a bit more confidence to pass the ball forward a bit more as usually it's sideways or backwards.
