Just yesterday?

How many games did Joao get before Owlstalk wrote him off?

Does Rhodes performances remind you of Stevie May?

Owlstalk didn't write joao off..The coach sent him out on loan.

That's how football works.

Comparing May and Rhodes?

If you made a clear comparison then it would get some credence.

I'd like to see them together,. Both lethal in the box, especially aerially.

Only Wednesday can take the best 2nd division striker this decade and turn him dogshit

Wasn't very good at Boro either.

We don't concede many goals. A cb is needed but it won't turn us into a top two side.

We could sell Rhodes to a rival and then see him get back to his best and make us look even bigger mugs.

Was painful to listen to talksport pundits raving over mcgeady today. Don't want to see Rhodes getting 20 goals for another championship club

May was slow and weak and pushed off the ball at all times as well.

However according to OT that was also the way we played and not May.

They got promoted and he got important goals.

Can't really judge him last year because he isn't premier league standard much like I don't think Forestieri is.

Did he what important goals?

Have a few Boro mates who said he was woeful for them too.

If there is a person that can be bothered to look - towards the end of his Blackburn career he was spending a lot of time on the bench.

All in remember in his later days at Blackburn is his name popping up on the score feed and people on here desperate for him to sign.

He's not lost what ever he had at his age.

I don't think many of our players have been playing their best for a while now, not just Rhodes.

I just think it's very early to write him off.

So Rhodes is slow and weak.

According to owlstalk?

Fair enough.

How do you you make the jump to comparing the two?

You've seen them both by all accounts.

And you honestly compare these two players?

I've seen Rhodes in every home game since he's signed and he is very slow yes. He's also weak.

Stevie May was also slow and weak.

Not true at all:

His last 6 months at Blackburn in 2015-16: 25 starts. 0 Sub appearances. Subbed off 5 times.

Even in the previous season it's not true. 2014-15: 45 Appearances. 40 Starts. 5 Sub appearances. Subbed off 10 times.

None of our attacking players have looked consistently good for over a season.

That's because we have bizarrely adopted one of the worst offensive approaches I've ever seen at S6.

So, they're both slow and weak?

One's playing for Aberdeen and the other for a top end championship club.

I suppose that's where the comparisons end eh?

If it was just Rhodes. But there have been other players who've not shone like Abdi and they came to Hillsborough well regarded by their old fans. Reach came with a decent rep.

They couldn't say enough good things today about mcgeady on the radio.

Makes you think it doesn't matter who we sign cos there's either a curse or some bad management involved.

Blackburn: Goal every 164 minutes

Boro: Goal every 194 minutes

Wednesday (so far): Goal every 505 minutes

Not to put it another way a goal every 5-10 chances

We haven't and won't get VFM so if we can recoup our investment then is let him go

I definitely recall him being dropped by Lambert for a fair few games.
