It looks highly likely that at least 2 or 3 more will be signed before the start of the season.

People need to chillax a little bit.  We are so much further forward than 12 months ago it is unbelievable.

It's really bugging me that you've put Lees at LB twice.

Otherwise...you're correct. We've in a much better position than last season and we know that we're not done with bringing players in. Lucas Joao is a definite it seems, and then a left back (wiggins maybe) and a striker on loan (big Ken maybe).

I haven't put Lees at left back twice.

Usually when putting a team line up you would list the goalkeeper, then the full backs then the centre halves.

Hence traditional numbering of 2 for right back, 3 for left back, 4 & 5 for centre halves.

Maybe in the early 1900's. Then i would only trust dunsby!

On what basis? This current lineup hasn't played a competitive match yet so any comparison is spurious at best. Come back mid October Edited by Owlsofrustration

To be honest it doesn't look a bad side. As the OP said before his Herbert Chapman numbering system got nailed this looks a lot stronger than last season potentially.

I take it you didn't go to York and Scunthorpe, then?

Nothing to do with the first XI.

Look at our subs bench from last season.

We had actually zero depth, we now have lots.

Hutchinson has proved himself and fitness permitting should be on instead of Semedo - none of the others have really. Dielna? A mistake waiting to happen

There may be depth but the quality is questionable

Semedo was miles better than Hutchinson last season.

Was our best midfielder until injury late on and Lee came through with some encouraging displays towards the end of the season.

Both outperformed Hutch.
