Guest Wildman1867
Just thought i would pin this from the Chesterfield fans forum, loooks like RO'D is doing ok - Didnt put a foot wrong. His distributuon was top class, looking at every opportuinity to get it out on the floor and only kicking if neccessary. Made two top draw saves, one a tip over the bar from a shot with a dangerous amount of spin on it which could have fooled him on another occasion, and a brilliant reaction save down to his left at the end to ensure we got away with the win. Well done ROD Well done him, still think it was a mistake to let him go.
torryowl
rod and jameson were both out of contract ,we only needed one of them and jones went for the latter and gave him a 2 year deal so must obviously rate him pretty highly.good luck to rod though and hope he does well at chessie as at his age he needs to be playing 1st team football . Last_Great_Hope
With Kirkland and Bywater (at least) ahead of him, and Jameson on his level who is at least as good ad him there just wasn't enough room in our squad for him. He needed to go out and play games and establish himself as a No 1 somewhere - and good luck to him.

OxonOwl
I always preferred ROD to Jameson though not a lot in it. Rod is a great shot stopper and is still learning. Possibly ROD got a better deal getting out and getting first team games. Good luck to him

torryowl
Agreed, don't think Jameson is at OD's level the manager and goalkeeping coach obviously think differently and i'm guessing they have seen a bit more of jameson than you have . Bluesteel
Making good reactionary saves was never his weak point. Sometimes his kicking was a bit iffy and he didnt really command his area, but he will probably get better at that with age. Could be a good signing for Chesterfield. owlZfan84
Isn't Tommy Lee injured, which is why ROD has been starting recently? The lad is a decent keeper and deserve game time.

Charlie Chaplin would be a good signing for Chesterfield.
