Adam1867
The Owls Under-21s face Sheffield United at Hillsborough this evening (7.00pm kick-off) Below are the full matchday squads for the Sheffield derby: Owls: Jameson, White, Smith, Corry, McKenzie, Nyoni, Fletcher, Lavery, Mayor, Madine, Rodri Substitutes: Dawson, Kyle, Grant, Stobbs, Fenwick Blades: Willis, Westlake, McFadzean, Harriott, Salt, Kennedy, Chapell, McAllister, Porter, Miller, Philliskirk Substitutes: Tonne, Lynch, Ironside, Pemberton, De Girolamo Admission to the game is £2 for all supporters and children must be accompanied by an adult. Very strong wednesday 11 i think. If we dont win theres something wrong. Are the rules you can have 3 over aged players or 3 first team players??? fife_owl
Madine / Rodri is solid front pairing - I wonder if that's an experiment with the first team in mind?
owls maniac
Good to see we are using the overage player rule. No one likes getting beat by the blunts so I'm glad we are going for it. Good opportunity for Madine and Rodri to give DJ something to think about.
malek
Interesting formation, with 4 forwards starting. 16 years old midfielder Stobbs on the bench. I guess this will be a great experience for him. Edited October 9, 2012 by malek
Adam1867
Bit unfair on the usual forwards though? They work hard all season for the u21's and get dropped cus its international week.

Nope, they are all included. Fletcher & Lavery playing with Kyle on the bench.

owls maniac
Just the south id imagine. Not sure if they are opening the Lepp for the scrubbers though or just letting them sit with the Wednesdayites. Hardly a feisty fixture.

Thurnscoe_OWL
Was it Kivo who said these things usually are quiet feisty? I'm looking forward to it anyway, its a welcome break from the 1st team
Lee A
Looking forward to this game, would be nice to see a Wednesday XI win a game. Not seen much of the young lads yet, hoping for some good performances.

I'm looking forward to it anyway, its a welcome break from the 1st team Apparently the under 18's one was. Probably was a bit naive really. Any clash between us and the trotters is likely to be a bit animated.
malek
Hope Corry will do well, and Stobbs will get some playing time.

Lee A
Bet madines not happy demoted to the reserves. Probably not, Got to look at it in a positive way though, if he plays his cards right, he could bang 3 in tonight, doesnt matter what level you're at, nothing does a striker more good than scoring goals.
