PolarNigel Posted October 3, 2012 Share Posted October 3, 2012 Awful defending. The more i watch it, the worse it gets. A few things DJ needs to pick out: Taylor/Gardner needs to support JJ more. They need to command the box and not leave it to the makeshift RB to deal with the ball in. Bothroyd seems more effective out wide. Maybe it's because he feels free, but his workrate last night was second to none. McCabe, Semedo & Barkley CAN work together. Again, the introduction of Rhys seemed to benefit both Semedo & Barkley. It released Barkley more and Semedo gained more cover and protection. Taylor needs dropping. Hopefully it'd be a kick up the arse for him. CoG needs to start atm. He is in some brilliant form. Antonio, alike to Bothroyd, seems to be benefiting from this formation, he seems alot more free and this freedom is making him fly. If DJ is to offer the customer a desert at the end of there meal, and even though they're not sure, they'll say "okay why not."
