AND They lost 4 on the trot in August/Sept. AND They lost at home to Barnsley. THEN They won 1 and drew loads. THEN They started winning and didn't flipping stop. THEN They won the flippin leage. If some of them tossed a coin to see how many times it came up heads, and it failed to do so four times in a row, would they go to the same convoluted and presumptuous lengths to angrily describe all the causes for this and who was to blame? # I realise this is not exactly analogous to the situation of our season, it's just meant to be illustrative of a more measured way of thinking. Posted September 26, 2012 Author Share Posted September 26, 2012 I wasn't specifically comparing the teams in terms picking out individual players, that's for the master tactitians and player scouts on here to do and there's enough threads like that already. Guest oz_owl Posted September 26, 2012 Share Posted September 26, 2012 Reading were, relatively speaking, in a much stronger position squad-wise - still some players with PL experience, already a solid Championship team. But still, I don't think we're far away. We've only lost badly to one team and they are now top. There wasn't much in the other 3 games, even when playing badly against Huddersfield I felt the result was harsh, we created a lot more chances than they did. Anyway, given the combination of having the same record as Reading last season and consecutive seasons with a promoted team going up again....I'm back to believing we'll win the league!
