Push for the Premiership....

Recommended Posts

If the fans of Sheffield Wednesday are serious about wanting Premiership status and getting promoted again then we have to pull together in the same way we were in the run in to promotion last season..

Already people are panicking, fretting, fudding, and bitching when a balls not even been kicked

Milan, Dave Jones and Paul Aldridge have proven to be a total success of a team who have earned the right to manage this club how they see fit

Instead of crapping yourselves about the team and worrying - focus instead on what you can all do as fans of this club to have FUN, be FUNNY, and ENJOY the forthcoming season

All last season there were doom and gloom merchants trying to stop people having a good season, stop em having fun, and stop em having a laugh and they went the whole season (apart from the last game of course) miserable.

flip THAT

STOP

Refocus

Remember what Antonio said about the crowd making the difference in the run in and creating goals through noise and singing that ultimately led to our promotion - thats the FANS making a difference

Let's have a GREAT season - have a laugh - get some funny songs/banter flying, get dressed up in fancy dress, make flags, sing songs, bounce like crazy and go for promotion

And if we lose a game - have twice as much fun at the next game

Enjoy your football

really? maybe because i live around zero other wednesdayites, but i'm feeling nothing but optimism for the coming season...

i have full faith that what needs to be done prior to the season starting will be done. haven't felt like that in a while. looked back through on that transfermarkt site at some of the sh!te summers we've had and this is probably our best transfers-wise already in close to a decade if not longer.

Lines doesn't need to adapt to the Championship, we need him to be allowed to keep creating,Somedo's ideal partner !

I dont think we'll go up this season but in the back of my mind i secretly hope/dream of a playoff spot or better still automatic. (Dom Dom Dom). I can safely say i don't know as much about football as Dave Jones nor could i manage a professional football club so I intend to go into this season with an open mind and enjoy the games as they come. I trust this setup more than anything, we got our Wednesday back didn't we?

Just print this off and appreciate it, let's just take one game at a time guys !

This seems a bit at odds with the message, shouldn't you post one of these each week just showing the next game?

Propoganda from Neill makes me nervous.. it's like the National Socialists all over again...

It's a little bit Orwellian... I am worried about the hypnotic effect of the new scoreboard now...

and those things in your ears they are selling.. all seems a bit sinister to me....

Honest opinion fella,it's utter bull,Wednesday are in for a hard seasons,no additions to what wasnt brilliant at times against teams from L1 last season, needed to spend,3/4 new signings, plus Antonio, the new signings look gambles, not impressed, serious mate get real,15th a realistic target!

Agree completely with the OP lol

Bigger games, bigger crowds etc... But lets lower the expectation level slightly and wherever possible, we can hopefully settle for good football with guaranteed 110% effort from the well assembled squad we now have.

Lets start by doing our bit at Pride Park....the sell out has already happened.....

Why not organise fancy dress (as per the last away game of each season for most clubs) or honolulu beach party theme (as per Norwich Carrow Road a couple of seasons in a row; 6/7 years ago?) or cuddly toy day (Stockport Edgeley Park; also a few years ago).

Lets be a bit different and do it for the first away game of the season. Let the new players see what we've got to offer, and make the established swfc players feel at home in the Championship.

Would also like to hear a crazy Bywater chant this season; I believe Kirkland is a great signing and will be first choice whenever fit. But Bywater played a MASSIVE part of our promotion season and he will have a big part to play as a squad player with his personality.

Bywater's organisation of the back four will always make him a great second choice if Kirkland does get sidelined at all.

Just imagine how he'd feel to be well supported as our GK number two this season. (Surely someone can make up a decent a Bywater/massive song?!)

Same goes for all the other players with their songs too :reda:

Hopefully the club can tweak the occasional matchday experience change.....maybe announce the team as the players are in the tunnel so we can have a better chance to build atmosphere and show players recognition with the chants.

And push for some quality guest appearances and announce beforehand....Jess Ennis (blade fan I know) would be great to have down at Hillsborough as Sheffield olympic gold medalist!

Lets stop any apprehension from building into potential negativity and do our bit as we always do

UTO!!
