We want a new anthem, fine, make it a joyful one, cos that's Wednesday's personality (if football clubs had them). in other words, we aren't scoucers. Lets sing happy joyful poo poo. "If you doooooooooont flipping bounce....................." Exactly Our fans are known for their energy, wit, humour and self deprecation. The first is Singing' the Blues (a song full of pathos) and the second is We Love You Wednesday (we could sing two or three of the verses and the chorus instead of just the chorus). Maybe weve already found our new anthem ? Theres summat about that song, you know its a big occassion when that starts, and the first line is always grwat at the top of your voice ... It's very melancholy and a bit dated (not retro). Its hardly an inspiring tune - the players would be demoralised before they kicked the ball if they came out to that. Its a typical football song penned in the late early eighties. If we adopt that then i think I may do a 'head first' off the Kop roof! or maybe I'll just have another beer before kick-off. Way too negative if you only mention your rivals… however big they are. "Wednesday are MASSIVE" should be the message, not "hi big boys, can you hear us?" Nice tune though, if a bit slow.
