WAGES

A BBC survey said that the average Premiership player earns £13,000 a week which is a minimum, so I'd expect our players to be on 4K- 7K depending on age.

Players at clubs like Dagenham will be on around 2.5K a week I'd guess.

Sorry if i'm missing the point but how can an average wage be a minimum?

There will be squad players at Dagenham on a few hundred quid a week.

The 1st year pros at our club will be on a similar amount IMO. I am not ITK at all but I would would guess that only a handfull of our players would be on more than £200k a year (£4k per week). At a guess Purse, Morrison, Miller and Teale.

A couple of years back I read the average league two wage is about £12,000 a year.

The difference in wages between someone in league two and league one can obviously be huge.

Twelve grand A YEAR?!!!!!

You get paid more than that on the tills in ASDA!!!!

Sure you don't mean per month?

Positive.

Surprised the heck out of me.

The thing to remember is that it is an average figure. It is probably skewed by young players on £200 a week.

The average for an established league two player is probably a little higher.

Then again, I would happily take a wage cut to play pro football for a living.

Just done a quick google on the subject and think my memory was a bit confused.

It would seem I had remembered the average wage for a young league two player i.e. 16-20 years old...

ooops

I'm sure i've heard he's on 20 grand a week recently.

Not sure how true, but it sounds about right.

22k according to Baggiehy our friend from West Brom.

He was apparently offered a bit more by Sunderland but he "compromised" and took the two year deal at Birmingham (West Brom offered a year) because he didn't want to move his family.
