Lee A
I remember beating Sunderland and Villa (away remarkably) in the league cup in the last decade. Do remember a 1-0 win at villa park, Didnt Ekoku score? Also seem to remember a win at Upton Park, Lampard scored for them i think.
KivoOwl
First time since 1891 that we've won an FA Cup tie, awa from home, against a team a division above us.

DJMortimer
Also seem to remember a win at Upton Park, Lampard scored for them i think. November 2000 - Owen Morrison and Ashley Westwood (!) scored in a 2-1 win at West Ham. September 2001 - Di Piedi, Bonvin, Morrison and Ekoku as we beat Sunderland 4-2. November 2001 - Ekoku got the only goal at Villa Park.

Utah Owl
Well, what about Palace in '73. I know it was a second replay and technically a neutral venue, but we were still away from home!

But haven't we spent about half of our existence in the top flight when that has been impossible anyway and a few years in the third tier when we'd have to get through to the third round to even get a chance? Utah Owl
Think you might be right Kivo, in which case today has probably ended the worst "away" record in football history!
