I agree with you, no need to tear him down. But I think it’s the mixed messages, he seemed to be very pro Xisco, even when he was sacked. Now he’s saying what we all knew to be the truth anyway. Just seems a bit 2 faced.

Don’t get me wrong Di Piedi’s was glorious but…taking the blue tinted specs off, in terms of technique garnacho’s was way more difficult to pull of and is the better goal in my opinion. He’s running back away from the goal and rifling it back across goal from an angle. Di piedi set himself up and was central in the goal ‘just’ had a straight shot at it.

You could say that about almost any pacey, tricky attacker ever including players at a much higher level like sterling and saka.
