Is that 22:06 from The Hawthorns  station or Birmingham? If it's the Hawthorns that's only 5-10 minutes walk away, if it's from Birmingham you're going to be struggling. think the Hawthorns line goes to Snow Hill station as well so you'd still have to walk to New Street.

That said last time we went there the station was rammed and coppers were stopping people going in so it took ages to get back to Birmingham, that was a Saturday game with a bigger away allocation though.

New train strike announced for the 4th October, so this might cause some disruption to the late night services on the 3rd as well, it's a 3 train trip back from WBA to Sheffield that night as it is (Hawthorns-Birmingham-Derby-Sheffield) so if a single one of those is affected you're snookered.

Anyone know when an announcement will be made about which trains are running?

put it simply you can get there . but you cant get back unless you plan on staying there 36 hours after the game or have other means of getting home other than trains.
