An article all young players should read.

Beighton Owl 87
Got sent off against us for Barnsley. Think it was the game Maguire scored a late winner for us.

WadsleyOwl
Read the article, was a real talent as a kid, I think he came through the ranks at Shirecliffe before Chelsea snapped him up at 16 with Mcabe pocketing a few quid.
Kopparberg
Wiki says “He transferred from Sheffield United to Chelsea at the age of 16 for a £1 million fee, but made only one substitute appearance before being dismissed for misconduct in March 2012. He spent most of the rest of his career in the English Football League”
Skyline
Was a really good player, but the attitude/fitness levels were miles off - As he openly admits and his history of clubs shows. Is has happened to many before him and will continue to happen. It's not just football either, it's every profession. Just happens to be a much bigger scale when it's a pro football going from earning thousands a week, living the big lifestyle only for it all to suddenly disappear when you're jobless.
lukeyswfc
There does need to be more coaching into life after football for a lot of players. Some seem to forget they have from 35, if they’re lucky, to end of life with way way less money if any.

It’s not in the clubs interest, they just suck up to them and inflate their ego until they’re not wanted anymore
