Which is my point bud. I don't think we'll have any problems next season due to getting some high earners off the wage bill lessening our weekly expenditure.

If we've explained to the Efl that we're stuck with non playing drains on our income, who need to be covered for as we can't sell them and are stuck with them and it's out of our control, but were trying to get our house in order by releasing those players when contracts run out, tgen I think we'll be OK.

Placed as a reasonable argument I can't see sanctions or points deductions happening.

We will be deducted points, otherwise Brum would not have been deducted points. Being stuck with players is self inflicted it is not an excuse and they will not listen.

Brum said they will strive to reduce wage bill and sell players (not easy when on contracts on big dosh...or injured) DC more than likely said the exact same thing.

Brum sold no fooooker or reduced wage bill.....we have done likewise.

Next season makes no difference, we will be punished on the previous 3.

The daily fail as a credible source? and beleived!!!

This country has truly gone mad.

Its common sense...Birmingham broke the rules ..got punished...

Other clubs have broken the rules.....Guess what...

It doesn't ned to be a credible source for it to be simply common sense

He also said "Big trouble next season"

So bearing in mind all he says is credible...What did that mean?

We've got friends - everyone took it as meaning extra investors/investment when folk knew a lot less about FFP back then and thought more money from a different person was a simple solution.

That's how I remember it anyway and it makes sense given who was appointed to make sure we complied.

Wednesday clearly doing lots of manoeuvring to avoid an embargo. Personally convinced that the change of year end in the accounts was to include the sale of Jack Hunt in last years accounts rather than this years.

He said that at the fans forum in December - a whole 4 years after he told everybody not to worry about FFP

And after he had driven us into a massive pile of FFP poo

That was much later on.

The FFP and friends comment was much (a season) earlier.

Much more than a season

It was at his very first 'meet the fans' - which is when he also announced he'd be putting tickets up to fleece away fans - and that Wednesday fans would have to stop drinking and smoking f they were worried about prices

I meant in terms of current monitoring but you're right re. the accounting period - ignore me.

While I'm in a backtracking mood I also owe you an apology re. Frank Lampard although I suppose the jury is out but he was tempted north.  Pretty sure he was your suggestion?
