The goal yesterday

To be fair, Reach and Matias (even occassionally Palmer) have been making the runs. It's just that the run hasn't been seen quick enough, often enough, by the man in possession.

Ok.. but why has our playmaker (Bannan) been so deep for so long looking for movement in front of him?

Without intending to be flippant, maybe little Bazza doesn't always see the runs. Sat high in the stands we see the play a lot better than a wee man at pitch level; maybe he just doesn't see the runners.

Its not been helped by the slow movement forward from our defence, hence Bannan comes back to get possession but he often has an opponent pressing so he has to make a quick pass, usually back to Lees, or he runs towards the wings. When he does get space, and he does see the run, he can create as Hector did yesterday (Reach goal at Boro?). With Hutch in the team, we can play a bit further forward, pushing the opposition back a little. This gives Hector the time that Bannan rarely gets and is why he's able to make passes like yesterday.

Reach.....pace, strength, composure and touch. I loved his reaction after as he realises he's made amends for the earlier missed sitter..... Excellent player, I'm sure if we can show enough progress under SB between now and the end of the season we'll do everything possible to keep him.

Ipswich....defending like us under JL. It's an excellent goal but if you're an Ipswich coach you drank very heavily last night.

The tackle by Hutch made the goal, anyone else in that position and we don't win the ball back

Agreed. Watching the tackle on the YouTube highlights I was pleasantly surprised that the ref didn’t call it a foul. Hutch tackles like a 70s midfielder and as a consequence even if it’s a clean tackle most refs don’t like the aggression.
