Never happen but Big Sam would be ideal. No nonsense manager who won't take any bobbar like players telling him where they will or won't play.

But will take bungs. Used notes only please......not for us.

Theoretically Megson ticks lots of the boxes, the million dollar question is could he work with DC.

He has already said he sees him as a gentleman and would love to work with him.

He will also already know what's wrong with this team and have a very good idea how to put it right, who will need moving out and who could realistically come in and improve the team.

These things are crucial as time is not on our side with regards to the window closing in a few weeks.

I beg to differ,  there are more and more people be living Carlos isn't the man to take us forward. A pole recently showed 70% want a change, I hardly call that a minority.

If we don't pick up soon it will happen quicker than you think.

and should do ,we are going backwards, from his 1st year here, hes had shedloads of money and before people start saying we made the play offs again last year, look at the finances we had,how many previous owls managers have had anything like what Carlos had,and imo wasted, top 6 this year looks miles off!!!!!!

Sadly it looks miles off doesn't it,I don't buy into this were only 2 games in, it's been coming for a while.

It's going to get a lot worse before it starts to get any better. :columbo:Next two games are against very attack minded teams, we're lambs to the slaughter if we have to face Sunderland and Fulham, with Pudil at CB and without defensive midfield cover for our defence. WTF:

It's a tough ask but we need to pick something up from those 2 games. 1 point from a possible 12 is a disgrace especially when you look at our first 2 games.

It seems alot are wanting carlos out but 500 people can make alot of noise, its just the minority idiots that have short memories. Thank fuuk we have a owner who believes in him. Some fans need to get a grip becuase Carlos will not he sacked anytime soon. Start supporting every match instead of expecting and we might get somewhere.DC has said negativity will not help so thats a nice way of saying stop fuukinn moaning and get behind the team including CC.

Short memories? I don't think anyone doubts we've come a long way in the last few years, DC's investment in our club has been unparalleled in our history and no one has forgotten what it was like scrapping against the drop every bleedin year.

But, can you name one player brought in that Carlos has improved as an individual? He inherited Lee, Lees, Loovens, Westwood and after all the investment he's got talent like Rhodes who is proven to bag 20 a season in the championship, youngsters like Joao who instead of improving under CC looks like he's gone backward and Bannan who was amazing in the first season but now has to drop so deep he's ineffective.

Look at his stubborn refusal to change. We tried out a diamond with Abdi attacking midweek and then the weekend comes and we go back to a flat 442 with Bannan and a defensive midfielder alongside, why?!

Why play all our CBs in one game together (Hutch in midfield) and watch two get injured and blow your plans in the first half?

Short memories? Do you remember the attacking football under Carlos just two years ago? Something's gone wrong here. And with increased investment the fans do have a right to expectation not just blind support.

I can't honestly see us getting anything out of either of our next two games without Loovens and/or Hutchinson and without a new CB. It's at the cost of our shambolic player recruitment. Two seasons in a row, without bringing in a much needed CB or a midfield beast, and CB shortage and slow start to the season again. This time though, unlike the previous two seasons, we might have too much catching up to do by the time we sort ourselves out.

I'm hoping that we can get something out of these games, sometimes when our back is against the wall we do come out fighting. Take last season's 6 game unbeaten run, it was largely taken out of Carlos hands in terms of team selection which was dictated by injuries.

It all boils down to tactics.
