Little pigs

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone when we are feeling down remember the little pigs story . They built their house of straw and sticks . They stood up tall at first but when the big bad wolf brought the bad weather and winter they were blown away . Our house is built of bricks . It takes longer to complete and frustrates at times but when finished will be big and strong and last a lifetime . And we will then sell it and build a bigger more expensive house to get us back to the premier league. Keep the faith with GM and MM

Blunts are based around a decent squad of players, but a massive, crippling debt.

The only reason they top the table is because they cannot get shot of their high earners, who continue to drag them down into the mire further.

Utd won't go up this season, they will however grow further into debt, lose their ground to pay off a certain amount of debt, and rent it back from Scarborough Holdings for around 750k PA for quite some time and then, once Montgomery, Quinn and a few others finally depart either this transfer window or January...slip into oblivion not to be seen again for four or five years.

How they laughed at Wednesday when we were hovering "only" at around 25-30 Million in debt. How they would all all take that position they laughed at us for being in, for they are in a far far worse place right now. Not that they will admit it, because they are above us in the table.

Bless.

My hubby is a Blunt and he's close to the club.

He says:

The debt is KM's NOT the clubs, but the wage bill is too big for them to sustain for the season, KM will pay it until the high earners are moved on.

He fully expects Quinn and Monty or Ched(court case depending) or Simonsen out before the transfer window closes. But if they don't some will go out on loan and the others will go in January.

To say the debt is crippling is far from the truth, but they are struggling to generate funds to push forward.

He fully expects them to be top 6 at least. Anything less with that squad would be criminal in his opinion.

Having said all that he's expect us to beat them at Bumhole Lane in October as the big push past them to top 2.

The debt is in KM's name perhaps. But surely he will need to be repaid one way or another?

A few blades are hiding behind a technicality I think. Although he may be prepared to take a certain amount in terms of losses he will need to try and recoup some in any sale.

The same may even apply to Mandaric in the future, he will keep an eye on what he's putting in and he will want that reflected in any sale.

He's a good dad.

However our 3 sons are Owls, well 2 are the other hasn't decided yet.

I've asked him about the debt thing and how it works, this is what he says:

The Bank debt is paid for by the Tevez money so any debt after that is a personal debt to the club/KM. (About £9M left, allegedly)

What happened this summer was, KM converted a fair amount of the debt to him into shares for the fans etc to buy and also to generate funds. Bramall Lane, The Academy and every bit of property(except the Hotel) now belongs to SUFC.

KM knows that he will take a loss on his "Investment" but has recouped as much as he'll get from the club. The rest is down to the sale and contrary to belief the club IS up for sale for about £15M, about half of what KM is "Owed".

He's NOT expecting anyone to take that offer while they are in League 1 so he's not expecting any sale anytime soon.
