New owners at Everton have got there fingers in a number of clubs, fans of other clubs not that impressed with them either.

Looking at 777's other football assets this doesn't look good. Herta Berlin are now in the second division despite a top class stadium that they can't fill, Sevilla are bottom of their league and Standard Leige's fans are in active revolt against their owners. It sounds like it will be business as usual for Everton and not the decent management that they need.

Problem being too many and there won't be any relegation

This.

Generally speaking, American owners are in the game to make money.

The best way I can describe American sports and their leagues is there's almost a façade of competition, but there's not that same level of consequence for being a bit sh*t. Heck, if you finish bottom, you get the first pick at the draft, don't you?

The meritocratic nature of European football does not sit well with all that. As we all know, a relegation from the Premier League (even with parachute payments) massively hits a club in the coffers and hurts an owner and their shareholders investment.

Takes 14 out of the 20 teams to vote for a change in PL rules.

Half of the league owned by American owners, one owned by the Saudi state and you also have Chelsea with American owners and Saudi investment.
