Hope for the best, best possible start, but don't allow yourselves to get carried away. Last season and the aftermath hurt just as much as any relegation, Monk and the team have so much to prove in my eyes and today is a step on a very long staircase. Anyway, great result, UTO.. Same old same old characters at the club last year. the massive clear out was just what the doctor ordered. Long overdue colonic. latemodelchild
Isn't there a saying along the lines of team spirit is a myth you see just after a success or summat? Always hated that. Team spirit is a massive part of football. The sum of a team can be many times greater than the parts and the opposite is also painfully true. We've all seen that the last few seasons in Sheffield football I'm afraid. Long may our team spirit survive for me. All I ask is that they give 100% every game. They're paid to do a job we'd all love for the team we all love. They owe us their maximum efforts and we will repay them if they deliver.
savi
What I noticed on Saturday was a huge difference from the sidelines, all I could hear was the Wednesday bench bellowing orders to the players. Going back to last season especially v Preston there was no (or appeared) to be, any verbal motivation from the bench.
