Smells Like Team Spirit

Recommended Posts

Hope you are right and its certainly a great start.

Word of caution, the team spirit also looked fine at the start of last season when we were top of the league after 2 games. The huddles and high-fives were evident when we were 3rd on Christmas Day.

Long way to go but delighted with the result.

It's only one game of course, but that felt like the emergence of a new team today.

Let's not forget that Cardiff only lost three home games last season - this was a very tough opener, yet we've put in a performance of real character and fight to secure our first three points of the season.

We're far from the finished article, but if we show the same effort, discipline and togetherness throughout the whole season, we'll give ourselves a real chance of overturning our points deduction and having a team to be proud of.

A sign of things to come? Looks like the boys circled into a heart. Hmmmm . . . UTO.

are we more of a team this season, not just a bunch of overpaid individuals, let's hope so,

That's the key to overcoming the obstacle that those shytehawks have placed upon us.

We must stick together as a team. The collective digging in.

There'll be tougher times. There will be defeats.

But we can't let the stumbles halt the journey

For the past few season it's been about a team of individuals on big contracts who couldn't play together.

This season it's about a team of players who look like a team and unit.

Monk hasn't gone out and spent money on player for thier name/last pay day.

He's signed players to fit the team, knew what needed doing and went about and did it.

The togetherness and performance today was spot on, they knew what they needed to do, they fought for each other and they got what they deserved.

It's time to get behind Monk we are all in it together and see where this team and coaching staff can take us with our backing.

You just never know...
