He's a terrific signing. It's taken DC years to work out how to progress but the sale of Lucas has allowed some real quality to come in. Bruce, it has to be said has laid the foundation of a promotion side here in a matter of months. A real shame he wouldn't see it through.

The irony is Bruce is a 4 4 2 man whereas Bully has IMO a more progressive 4 3 3 philosophy which suits our players (other than JR) down to the ground.

We have 2x target men/ big lads

4 wing forwards (FF, KH, JM, AR)

3 attacking/ box to box MF (BB, KL, ML)

2 MF sitters (SH, JP)

Our defensive options are flexible too.

One issue I'd see if we dropped Reach for Millwall and brought Bannan back would be that our front 5 and full backs are on the small side, and neither of our current CM's are monster tall.

From a physicality POV Luongo looks like he can mix it, and we'd probably need Iorfa at RB.

Millwall away actually might be a good shout to give Lee a rest and play Hutch, Luongo and Bannan central. By sounds of match reports for Miwawl so far they've been extremely physical and certainly didn't let WBA get into any type of rhythm.

Nice to have these options and great to have another physical presence in MF. Also great to be top of table!!
