With Westwood I personally feel that is down to a fallout between him and Jos in the summer. Yep, Pudil played in a back 4, which clearly his legs are not up to, Lees is seemingly asked to take more possession of the ball, which clearly he is not comfortable with and has had a negative effect on his overall game and Thorniley has been the most consistent performer at CB this season yet continually gets dropped. Penney and Thorniley have been the 2 positives in Jos's time at the club but Penney has struggled of late, probably not helped by having been asked to play at least 3 different positions in his short time in the first team. Pretty daft thing to do if you ask me. He didn't play again after that. Since then he's had a pre season and the start of this season and his performance levels haven't been good enough. We clearly disagree on that and if he comes back into the team and he plays well I will come on here and say it. I don't think we'll see him again though. He chases the ball too much, flies into unnecessary tackles and gets red carded or injured, and is never at home leaving Bannan to do all the defensive stuff. Whereas Pelupessy is a limited footballer, he actually does the job he's meant to do which allows Bannan to do what he want and not defend. He gets a red card every 20 games which means he misses 15 games due to it every 100. He's had 1 red due to 2 yellows (1 game ban) and the rest been straight red 3 match bans.
