Sam Winnall - top goal scorer at Barnsley - we paid £500k Sam Winnall - hardly played a game for us, went to Derby, spent most the season injured - now worth £3m Adam Reach - Decent player at Boro - we paid £5m Adam Reach - Decent player at Wednesday but hasn't really progressed since his days at Boro - now worth approx £10m Just a couple of examples... I think Reach is one of the few we would want to keep and in this inflated market could make us a profit. If it wasn’t for Winnalls knee issue then we could get a hefty fee for Winnall too, simply because the market is crazy. But that knee problem reduces it for now, unless we decide to keep him and FF and see if we can get them firing again.
ashamanic
Wasn't Winall discounted because he'd have gone for a free a few months later?
Avon barksdale
If you look at championship goal scorers and there value recently, kodija £11 mill, assombolonga £15mill, Hogan £10mill, Rhodes £8mill , madine £6mill, among others. To me winnall is worth £8-10 mill in this market. Typical for Wednesday he’s got a serious long term injury though
The only way is S6
No need to sell anyone. Keep what we've got, which is a very strong squad. Get them fit, get them playing together & get them challenging at the top. Any with contracts expiring can be re-negotiated or released. Not everybody is on a long term, expensive deal. No one is indispensable. Bring the cheap young uns through in place of older ones that go. Jos has mixed & matched with a bad hand so far. Only time will tell how he deals with a good one.
