JBA, I would like to think that MM is taking a financial hit every season with us.

Most of us know that MM is in this for the money and for that money to be made he has to make us successful and/or attractive.

Stability, moving forward, increasing revenue. Not too bad progress, if you ask me.

I like the truth not bullshit.

MM bought us to make money, saw an opportunity and went for it, I am pleased he did, but I get a bit fed up of all the bullshit that surrounds it. He is a master of PR or was, most of it is wearing a bit thin now to be honest.

I have no problem with MM as such but the naivety around how the finances work just get my back up.

SWFC is being operated on a revenue budget, once everyone gets that into their head and stops thinking we are being bankrolled privately then all the better to understand the financial restraints we are working under.

SWFC is being financed through tickets and TV money and other sales.

I don't dislike or like MM I just like to be realistic about things.

He's been a steadying influence for us as a club, better than the last set of clowns but is in it for one reason and one reason only and that's because he saw a profit in SWFC. Can't blame him for that at all.

Big club, big support low price, why not, ideal opportunity to make a few million.

I just wish people would get it out of their heads that he is in some way financing the club, the players wages etc etc.

That's it.

Surprised people aren't queuing around the block to buy a competitive championship club that are breaking even. In that case an investment of £5-10 million in January would give a good chance of the owner adding £60 million to the value of their investment.

So is it a fact that MM hasn't put any money in year by year beyond the initial purchase price?

Can't work out the Salford City takeover. 8th level of footy pyramid, yet Peter Lim who part owns valencia and nearly got Liverpool in 2010, has bought Salford along with Giggs, Nevilles, Scholes and Butt. Lims worth 1.5-2 billion. And them 5 must have a few million between em. I'd have taken that buyout at Hillsborough. Salford in footy league by 2020. And Premiership by 2026. Your having a laugh.

i just dont see the potential for a Salford team in the higher divisions. It would be like the same happening to Stocksbridge. Local fans already have their teams so hard to see anyone changing from say United to Salford, but who knows.

Does make it all the more frustrating from a SWFC point of view

Good progress yes BUT last accounts say we have debts of £11.5mm, I expect that to grow next accounts, these aren't payments by MM these debts are serviced through revenue (i.e. either interest OR most of these seem to be covered by loan management fees which don't have to be reported seperately and therefore aren't visible in accounts. Ask a corporate accountant how this works!)

Why would you like to think that MM is taking a hit each year? What other business would you do that for?

It's loans against the club NOT against MM!

Nothing dodgy or anything BUT not a personal hobby where the "owner" ploughs cash in year on year.

As long as the club services the debt then the loan can come from anywhere e.g. banks. like the co-op previously.

As long as the asset value of the club is greater than the debt and the debt is being serviced then the club is fine.

However this does not mean the club is not breaking even if debt costs are stripped out.
