@owlstalk
Could have been worse - the new Lincoln Kit reduced to One stripe or is that TWO :-) But if the fans say "i hate it but its ours so will buy it anyway" will ensure that kind of shirt is always a possibility Owlstalk Shop
dunsbyowl
I for one would much rather have the design we have than the Newcastle / Motherwell / Udders design. The whole two stripe thing on the collar looks so cheap. I think we've dodged a bullet personally. The collars on ALL of these Wednesday shirts Home, Away & Training Tops are rubbish they are too big and the material is poor.
Russy
This. This f*cking thing is the worst shirt in Sheffield Wednesday history. Absolutely horrendous. Ugly from all angles, crap material. It's the Chris Brunt shirt as well which is a terrible shame for one of our best players in the last decade to be associated with. Thought it was just me that described shirts by the player. That is definitely the Brunt shirt for me, like you say it's a shame.

Orlando_Trustful
Give over - its the worst home shirt ever You feeling alright big man? It's quite rare for you to have a bad word to say against the club.
smhouston
Which would sell more to Owls fans? Personally, I wouldn't buy the Newcastle version. I think it's horrible This seasons is nice. Not the best we've had, but definitely not the worst shirt ever. We should have stuck to black shorts though

Thats because theres usually nothing to criticise the club for But this flipping abomination goes against what we are - its ripped tradition up and created something out of the synth based 80's Its ridiculous and all Im hearing is 'its really bad but its SWFC so im gonna buy it anyway' Crackers Owlstalk Shop

Pompeyowl
Both I'd buy either because it has our badge on it. I much prefer the one we have, so I'd like to think that would sell more. Bitchy moaners? Well, they boycott anything that's different.

Pompeyowl
The key is to minimise moaners by producing a really good product tho isnt it? Yes, which you wouldn't have with the other Puma shirts. Maybe the team that picked this shirt had seen all the squinnying going on over the last couple of years about the home shirt that they thought a bit of a change would be good. Some fans are so hard to please. We had stripes with pin stripes either side...... People moaned. We had just stripes..... People moaned. We now have stripes with a twist to it...... What do you know?! PEOPLE MOANED! They simply can't win. You'll never impress everybody. Next season when we get yet another home kit those that are moaning today may not be moaning then...... But you can put your fúcking house on it that someone will be unimpressed.
@owlstalk
Yes BUT You dont go out and put on sale a total dogsick shirt just because fans moan anyway The key is getting it as right and popular as possible - NOT by ignoring the thoughts, feelings and tradition of the fanbase Owlstalk Shop

But you can put your fúcking house on it that someone will be unimpressed. Yes they can. Pick a shirt based on a straightforward stripe template. Just look at shirts from the 70s, 80s and 90s - excluding the obvious silly ones. Don't fart about with solid blocks of colour, pinstripes of any description - stick to traditional. There's plenty of scope for designing new shirts based on the traditional template. Go further back if they want - they only need to look on here - starting in 1891. Simple. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Sheffield_Wednesday/Sheffield_Wednesday.htm
