TBF to the OP I had read that he was injured but wasn't aware that he had had an OP yet.

Just assumed others would have read the day after the news broke that he had had a little operation that put him out for a few weeks, wish i could remember where i read it, think it was on that post somebody put on saying they had been talking to one of JJ relatives who confirmed the Injury

I had my cartilage done, was on crutches first few days and back playing 1st team football in a month, this was 1994 at a shitty 3rd division club with only a part time Physio. With the quality of rehab available at SWFC he will be back in no time, however it is JJ.......

I met JJ after the match just over the bridge, he had a pic took with my little lad. He did have an injured limp but no crutches and walked from the ground to hillsborough school just fine! Looked like he wouldn't be playing on Thursday but he wouldn't say anything other than " he's alright"

He'll be tearing players new arseholes in no time.

Worry? You need not.

I agree, looked like a two week limp to me( from my Sunday league days) lol

If the injury happened just prior to him having the op then as long as there are no "Lloyd Owusu" type complications then he should be back quickly regardless of rehab input - with modern techniques and much improved anaesthetics he should have a quick recovery - rehab isn't really too important in these cases if they're operated on quickly and there are no complications

My bro had his cartilege done and it took seven months just to get back to work despite physio at the Northern. Mind you he was in his fifties and four stone overweight1

Sounds promising. Fingers crossed, he will be back before we know it.

Hey up. I've done my cartilage in at the moment. Recovering currently, hoping to be back before my Sunday league season starts!
