Holmowl
Few surprises near the top of the list. Bannan 50 BPF 47 Paterson 44 Palmer 44 Hunt 42 Johnson 42 Gregory 39 Berahino 33 Hutch 31 Luongo 29 FDB 28 Kamberi 25 Byers 24 Dunkley 23 Storey 21 Adeniran 21 NML 19 Shodipo 18 Sow 17 Brown 15 Brennan 12 Windass 11 I always think this must be taken into account when clubs are deciding who to keep and release. Especially clubs like us who have to use every penny wisely. 1
WalthamOwl
Of all the players we have the only 2 I would be gutted if they left would be Bannan and Gregory. Don’t get me wrong we have some other decent players but those 2 for me are different class at this level.
areNOTwhatTHEYseem
It comes down to the medical team's assessments, I'd imagine. If a player has a long-term issue which is likely to keep recurring, then there's little point keeping them if we have the option, but if they've just had a run of bad luck with injuries and we reckon they're likely to recover, then we'd be daft to offload proven quality. For instance, Windass has hardly featured this season, yet he'd have been 4th on that list based on his appearances last year. Plenty would have got rid of Luongo based on his fitness record too, yet he's played 79% of the available minutes since he returned to the team in November. room0035
Those stats are a bit misleading though as Storey only came in January yet played every game he could. I have long said Luongo is a great player but he has only played 37 league games out of 92 in the last few seasons. We ned players who can play 40+ games a season not be injured or unavailable for half them.

Doesn't change my thoughts on who I hope we see back at the club for next season. Dean, Storey, Berahino in the squad would be lovely. Hunt is the one I can't make my mind up on. With a Wilson at FGR, Olusunde and PNE, Palmer already here and potential to move to 4 at the back where Hunt isn't as comfortable imo
