Does it matter? The last couple of transfer windows have been failures, the club doesn't have the money for anyone good, or anyone another club wants to keep, so will be left with the same type of player they've been buying for the past couple of years

1) Someone who was good/promising a few years ago, but failed to make the step up/never fully recovered from an injury

2) Someone who used to be good, but is now past their best

3) Someone who is constantly injured

4) Someone who failed to make the grade at the youth team and they don't even want to keep him on in the hopes of selling him

 

Occasionally, someone in one of these categories will come in and do surprisingly well - Tom Lees, Keiron Lee, Sam Hutchinson for example, but generally they will be an Abdi, Jones or any of the others we bought recently.

 

I just can't see the club spending money for someone who isn't a total gamble, and I can't see anyone who has prospects anywhere else deciding to join a sinking ship

I'll wager there'll be 3 signings................one FREE and two past it old crocks out for their last payday.
