Sonny
6 minutes ago, casbahowl said: Do you think the EFL were reactive or proactive in the appointment of Parry? Well the previous chairman, Ian Lenagan, left EFL in Sept 2018 and they had an interim chairman until appointing Rick Parry a full year later. So I suppose they were quite (slowly) reactive to the fact they needed a new chairman because the old one had left. What do you think? You didn’t really answer my question about what you’re saying / implying? Edited April 12, 2020 by Sonny

Dick_Turpin
I suppose the whole of football conspiring against Wednesday explains the last 20 years. There’s a shadowy cabal of Scousers like the Illuminati or the Rothschilds at the head pulling all the strings of the New Football World Order. All because of the Disaster or a grudge against Mark Pembridge’s hair or our failure to truly appreciate Steve Harkness. With the charges against the three amigos looking vulnerable the EFL case needed a helping hand to sow confusion. The Coronavirus is the nuclear option - an attempt to take down Wednesday that may have significant collateral damage. Or maybe it’s just that we have been and continue to be a bit rubbish and a Chairman, who openly admitted to being in a bit of bother when he’d already apparently solved that bother, may or may not have pushed an accounting ruse a bit too far - something an independent tribunal will decide on.
