geriatricowl
Can anybody remember the Mansfield game? Can't imagine they brought many. Wasn't that the game we had a young 16 year old kid in goal, think they called him Schofield and didn't we win 2-0. Can somebody confirm that. Utah Owl
"only" 41,731 ! That's why I didn't include Chelsea in the Cup in '73, only 46,700 odd that day was my first experience of a really big crowd at Hillsborough and it was awesome! Utah Owl
There is something very, very special about Hillsborough when there are over 40,000 in there. That is why I can't wait for us to get back to the top flight and get the ground upgraded to the World Cup specs. Reckon we could easily get 40k plus for games against the Scouse, Manure, and Citeh, probably even the Arse, Spurs, Chelsea and the Geordies too. roaminowl
"only" 41,731 ! Seemed like a lot more at the time. The place was rammed. I remember standing in the triangle and that was full.
