@owlstalk
I work for vue cinema and its not something they like to advertise but it's not policy but obviously preferred that people purchase of us and i am sure a football ground is no different it's not like a resturaunt or pub that rely on selling food and drink to make money I thought you got your bags searched or got booted out if you were suspected of having your own food/drink in the cinema ? Cineworld let you in these days with food and drink as long as it isn't hot food or alcohol.
dumboldowl
I'm more worried about the flate epidemic Holes are being drilled all over the country at this very moment. Subsidence and earthquakes will quickly follow.
VictoryBell
hasn't this just been policy for years? no outside food or drink and random searches (especially if you have a bag) etc. same stuff happens if you go to the cinema... nothing new. I think you're right and I think it needs stopping. They don't own your possessions just because they sold you a ticket. Unless they can clearly show that it represent a danger under common or statute law then they should have no right to even question why you have whatever you have in your possession and slimy claims aboiut "terms and conditions" should be met with a swift kick in the yarbles. Vamos a la revolucion!
lt109
Kid in front of me to get in had his bag searched by an agency steward - doesnt usually happen on the South, but fair enough with the flate epidemic. He confiscates the bottle of coke he was bringing in. Kid (late teen early 20's) doesnt make a fuss. Gets into the ground, goes to the refreshment kiosk and is able to buy the exact same bottle of coke, including the top (which is sometimes confiscated at other grounds). Why are the stewards confiscating, on safety grounds, something they are selling in the ground? Before anyone else asks, I will send an email to the club after the game to see what they say about it. possibly covered in section 7 or section 17.2 http://www.swfc.co.uk/club/ground_regulations/
Lincs Owl
Do what I do. Tell the steward you are diabetic, even though I'm not and you have to have a sugary drink. If you collapse, they will be liable. Interested in the flate epidemic. What are the symptoms? I did feel a bit sick by half-time.

SWFC_Liam
Your telling me the club get roger all out of this ???? Not as much as they would if they did it themselves, they've signed a contract with Lindley's which gives them control of catering.
