On another night...

Recommended Posts

...we'd have won comfortably

2free headers from set pieces and a lacklustre first half (but at times so much better than of late). Other than that we were very good

Christ - how many saves did their keeper make??? Nando was superb, as was Abdi. McManaman looked very useful when he came on. And the ref gave us nowt. Thought Sasso was excellent again, esp with the ball going forward. Not a lot wrong other than missed chances and some of our luck deserting us for a change!!!

uto and on to Leeds!!

Brentford were good with their pass and move in the first half and were the better team in that half.  Wednesday tried more in the second half and were the better that half.  Had enough chances to get the goals.  Their goalie did a couple of very good saves.  The ref though, awful, worst this season at Hillsborough.

It sounds like the boot was on the other foot. Because during our recent run we had to grind out results, were saved by our keeper; battling defensively or missed chances by the opposition. I'd like to see us start some games like that second half, like our lives depended on it and giving it our all offensively. Hopefully we get the right reaction from it and learn from our mistakes and weaknesses, whilst taking something from the positives. We're still in a good position and it's disappointing and a chance blown but it's not the end of the world. But gotta fight for every point in the remaining games and hopefully it will be enough to remain in the top six.

Could have quite easily been Bristol city game all over again if not more. Their keeper had a absolute blinder, 3-4 class saves and also some unlucky scrappy chances and woodwork.

Could have quite easily been 5-2.

Just simply not our night and bobbar officials, had the blatant pen for Forestieri been given in the first half we would have won the match easily, sadly not to be
