So the Germans do have a sense of Humour after all. :tango:

They need a sense of humour. I was reading on MSN news that two of their airports had been voted in the top 10 of worst airports in the World.

I don't like much that is German but I do like Boris Becker

He is buried at Goring on Thames, Berkshire.

I used to pass his grave stone regularly when walking the dogs.

I Think history has judged Bomber Harris rather harshly in my opinion when it came to the bombing of Germany during the war,Because the doctrine of Area Bombing wasn't his idea at all even though he implimented the policy with great vigour and enthusiasiam. The Man behind the concept of Area Bombing was Churchill's scientific Advisor Professor Lindermann. see link.

It's a small town in the former east Germany that is struggling with fourth div football.

They were a decent third div side pushing for promotion in 2006 and regularly pulled a 22,000 sell out crowd.

A blistering 35 yard injury time srike by Fabian Boll, the St Pauli captain, sealed promotion as champions for the magical FC in the last game of the season at theirs. Osnabruck drew their game, pipping Magdeburg by a point, and dropping them to third place. Not good enough.

Since then they have dropped a div. Shame. It's a nice ground. They have proper beer with alcohol in and decent sausages in a breadcake.

The fans are friendly, unlike the psychopaths from Dresden or Cottbus.
