Yeah that's what I felt when I saw it...took me back to that awful evening when Ian got crippled by that thug

Shortly after retiring, Knight worked on a youth programme at Grimsby. When his contract with Grimsby ended, he moved to Canada where he coached youth teams at the Greater London Soccer Club.[5] In April 2010, he was appointed head coach of the Abbotsford Mariners.

Horrific injury and looks like that's it for him at his age.  The only saving grace is that it's happened when he's 35 so he's still had a long rewarding playing career, unlike players like Ian Knight who had what could well have been a stellar career stolen from him.

Knighty is living in the Fraser Valley in BC and doing well. I would call him a close friend and he is a great bloke, what a player he was going to be.
