A bad day at the office for the seniors against a very strong Ossett United team this weekend. The girls stuck at it and never gave up, but we've got some context to the game in our weekly report --> https://www.swlfc.co.uk/newsfeature.php?newsid=437

There were ten junior games on Saturday, with some positive results and plenty of encouraging performances. Well done to all!

As always, we don't report the score of U11, U10 and U9 matches in line with FA rules.

Our seniors will be back at it again next weekend as they play in the FA Cup once again, this time against Morley Town. We're just two wins away from the First Round Proper, which would be huge for the club!

Ossett have a decent setup , its a good job as they charge £4 to watch their ladies.

Afternoon!

A good win for our seniors yesterday lifted them up the table with a useful three points, but it has been a solid weekend all round with some great results across the club!

We keep working hard to improve both on and off the pitch, and appreciate all the support we get both on social and a match day. Here's a report of the weekend just gone, for anyone interested: https://www.swlfc.co.uk/newsfeature.php?newsid=441

Thanks all, WAWAW

Anyone else been before?

I might be going Sunday, my mate's daughter plays for the opposition and he says he wants me to watch them beat Wednesday.

Are you taking a coach?

Evening all!

Annoying, Facebook has taken it upon itself to close our page.

So, we've had to set up a new one. Starting from scratch isn't ideal, but we'd be so grateful if people can follow us on there as we look to build the new page back up.

Thanks all. Hopefully we can get the new page up and running like the old one really quickly!

Evening all,

We're on the hunt for some experienced senior players to add to our ranks.

Our seniors have been working hard since the summer when we had to bring in a whole new squad due to retirements and departures, but we could do with a few reinforcements as we head to the winter months.

If anyone can help spread the word, we'd be very grateful 💙

Great news this week as we announced that some of our teams will have a new home in 2023.

We're delighted that SWFC's Community section have opened their new facility right around the corner from Hillsborough at Claywheels Lane, and over 70 of our girls went down to try out the new pitch recently.

To find out a bit more, we also had a chat with Club Chair Dave Higgins about what the move means for SWLFC:

As always, if you want to give us a follow on social it would be massively appreciated as try to grow our reach and impact:

Thanks for all the support in 2022, and hopefully more of the same in 2023!

The people involved at SWLFC are amazing volunteers, as are so many at grass roots level. Sadly we are underachieving in ladies football, there are pub teams and working mens clubs outperforming them at all age groups including the first team and the other older age group teams.

Anyone close to Chansiri or a nice local businessman give them a kick to get funding to push a club, that surely we must all support by default.
