Population of city is only one factor though. They are the only professional team in Suffolk (population 750K), though. OK, Colchester is pretty close, but other than that the nearest other league clubs to them are around 40 miles away. Still a good effort from them, mind. Be class if we could get 50K+ there. Be a miracle. We took 39500 against Hartlepool. Think the highest for a play off final was Bristol Rovers, 40000+ in crowd of 62000 against Shrewsbury. Coventry also had 40000+ against Exeter. Both clubs wanted more tickets but weren't allowed them.

Yes, Ipswich fans have turned out in good numbers this season - all credit to them, particularly as tractors aren’t the fastest and most efficient way to get from A to B. I agree but did you know they hold the record for most continuous seasons in second division/ championship think it was 1952 to 1969

There's no guarantee that every Wednesday fan will get a tix if we get to Wembley. You can add double onto a average crowd for a wembley game, meaning MK Dons could take nearly 20k and strategically ask for more to stop us having more. That's exacly what Hull did. When we could have took 50k to Wembley.
BetterCallSaul
If we beat Wycombe and get to Wembley we’ll easily take 35,000+

When we could have took 50k to Wembley. Nothing to do with Hull it was due to projected attendance. Any further tickets required would have been allocated. Attendance at that game 70000, couple of seasons before they had 86000 against Brizzle. Amazing the fans both Bristol teams took.
