WBridgfordowl
I was trying to decide if it’s Accrington or Burton Albion being above us that’s the more embarrassing. perhaps a question for the journalists to put to our manager, before we ‘move on’
flo
i dont think that makes us a bad club. Stanley are actually quite good.
njh1968
This is the league we are in, got to get past the idea of how big we think we are. There are quite a few teams in the Prem who ‘we are bigger’ than but we have nt been there for 20 years. It might be a culture shock to be in the same league as Cambridge, Accrington, Cheltenham etc but they at at this level and so are we. If we are better than them we will see in the table, history or a big home or away following does nt count for much if the players/manager don t het it right after n the pitch. We need to get over ourselves

We need to get over ourselves This^ The big (“massive”) club mentality is a real hinderance for us I don’t doubt. Impacts our expectations as supporters & is maybe why we routinely get wound up if we’re not in the autos or play off position after a handful of games. Very probably impacts players too - “fantastic to have joined a massive club” etc. Altogether a different mindset I’d say at the majority of league one clubs where the focus is on the reward of future success rather than the pressure of recreating past glories & reaching old heights…. just a thought!
