I just couldn't understand why we needed a seventh striker?, especially when we desperately needed a robust midfielder, centre back and replacement for the aging Wallace it didn't make sense to spend more cash in an already well covered area. Mcgugans attitude was rubbish fans at forest and Watford warned us and he couldn't even keep a place at Northampton. I was speaking with one of McGugan's close mates recently, and even he admits he's got a terrible attitude and has fallen out with pretty much every manager he's ever played for. According to his mate, he's never been one for keeping himself in shape or following orders. It's not as if Carvalhal was the first manager to decide he was more trouble than he's worth. Carlos trashed him publicly then stuck him in Siberia. Of course he aint gonna perform at Northampton or anywhere. Remember Newcastle away. Bluesteel Posted May 30, 2018 Share Posted May 30, 2018 Rhodes on loan was a preference of many. It was an itch that needed to be scratched. We had a lot of strikers but we were missing chances and I think he was seen by many, including me as the final piece of the jigsaw. He even lived up to that early on scoring on his Home debut and an assist at Wigan, but after the Leeds game he has seemed a shadow of that.
