Jack Hunt

Recommended Posts

He's one of our major attacking weapons going down that right side. Wallace comes inside so much, so Hunt plays effectively like a winger when going forward. He must easily be the fittest person in our team to continuously go up and down that side like he does. He's made that position his own and defensively I think he's improved this season. If he can just slightly improve that final ball he'd be a right player. Could be the reason he is in the championship though..

it's fine to criticise a player (away from the pitch) when they're not performing. Hunt wasn't performing, got criticism. now ht'e performing he's getting praise. that's all perfectly fine.

the only problem with football fans is that they think current form is permanent. the "get rid" brigade who think players can't learn, improve, or develop. That's something Carlos certainly believes in, that players can and will learn how to play in our system and seemingly that's been one reason why some players haven't featured that much. He said last week that Jones has taken quite a long time to get used to what we wanted him to do, but that his recent form is down to him starting to do those things. Hooper had a long while early on where he looked like a statue at times next to the rest of the side, but now he's learnt and links into the team perfectly.

Pretty sure Klopp said in an interview that fans need to stop being to stupid with wanting to discard players. That everyone is learning all the time and improving. He was surprised by the focus in british football on buying talent instead of developing it.

Hunt's playing better, let's hope he keeps it up and continues to develop. Likewise for Palmer (who let's not forget was a center mid while learning his trade).

Jack has significantly improved in the last few months. He gets into some excellent positions. He does need to improve upon his technical ability, however, as he often fails to bring a pass down and control it instantly, though he is good at running on to balls. He is also a bit dithery at times but is getting better. His crossing has also improved.

Rubbish...he's got a brilliant first touch
