Atmosphere today - The band

Recommended Posts

Guest George Smith

If the band aren't going to bother turning up then maybe the club should listen to the fans suggestions of trialling just a drum.

Maybe someone who will turn up every game can take over from the part timers.

The Bu§ song would have really taken off yesterday with just a drum.

I've emailed the club TWICE to ask if we can take a drum into the ground when the band aren't there and have never received a reply

And yet Huddersfield and various other away teams supporters ARE allowed to take a drum in as away fans !!!

Whats that all about ????

Why can't we ??

Knock down Crows nest or put a screen there.

'ultras' organise and get a membership scheme together or summat - dialogue with club to assign an area ideally visible not hidden away at back of Kop.

Club allows said group to do stuff elsewhere frowned upon ie. Flags, drum whatever.

Ban wind instruments.

the price of seats in football grounds will increase, at s6 it will increase significantly...

any remedies over the atmosphere needs to take reality and facts into account...

we're not gonna have 35,000+ in at a tenner, cheap will likely be just under £30 next year...

THAT is the one thing that will put people onto the kop, it'll likely even get the western end of the north back, or at least sufficient numbers of them...

add to that, some home attacking play, a threat of wednesday goals (yes there's an 'S' on it), and the chance of figuring at the opposite end of the table than we're used to and...

you could just about end up with a fullish kop, with some atmosphere, and the band will still be there... :stuwinky:

well the product on the pitch better be good if an entry level seat is £30 or there will be a significant fall in the number of non season ticket holder supporters

If you read the Huddersfield thread that has been posted on here is that they were charged 30 quid no wonder not a lot of them showed up.

There needs to be a way of getting people back to the gamebecause 20k in s6 is never going to produce an atmosphere and the answer is cheaper entry level tickwts

a mate told me it was either £30 or £32 in the south or grandstand on saturday...

anybody pay on the gate can confirm or deny that???

a winning side will push up attendances, each gate paying individual may not attend as many games as they'd like...

but they'd be the plus side of 20k in the ground, and i figure paying near 10% more for the seat...

a wet tuesday night in december would of course be cheaper, than the opening home game of the season...

but i don't for a second think mr chansiri intends to fund this promotion push himself, and anyone thinking he is, is in for a nasty shock... WTF:  :ghoulguy:  :duntmatter:

The atmosphere was crap on Saturday, it's also crap when the band are there but you can just hear some idiots tooting and parping and the special child banging out of time over the top of the crap atmosphere

if we achieve what chansiri expects, then the kop will be full, there will be an atmosphere...

i hate to say it but,

wednesday HOME fans only sing when they're winning...

we're a much different animal away from home, with some of the best vocal travelling support in the division...

we've been fed a diet of dross for that long, hillsborough is a cauldron of nervous tension, the type of fayre on offer at home this season (as pointed out by the 'uddersfield thread) is excitement akin to being sat in the cinema or at times the doctors waiting room...
