Granted but that's after he did flip all for the first & we were already losing Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

I'm absolutely sick of saying it.......It was his man that he didn't mark (track the run) for the first if we are playing man-to-man that scored the goal (the right back) & it was his man that he didn't attempt to block who played the killer pass if we are playing zonal!! Whichever system we are playing he didn't play his part in stopping the first goal!!!!

But lets blame the defenders.....................

Why are we posting threads against our own players?

Because of owlstalk and Twitter a question even got asked to dj about Bothroyd.

These hate campaigns only ever seem to happen against our better players though. Never the runner's and tacklers.

There is no way that the club would even hint to Beattie as to what we're paying Bothroyd. All that is, is sour grapes from Beattie, he really needs to get over himself (which is much easier than getting round him )

I do find it hilarious that some posters think you can't have a 'quality' player that actually works hard as well or that because they have 'quality' they should in some way be excused from working hard. The very best players in the world are the ones with natural ability that add it to work rate. Messi, Ronaldo, Rooney, Suarez etc. Great work ethic added to incredible natural ability.

I heard that we are in fact paying him £25 k per week and in his contract he is allowed to sleep with any other players mum or bird. That is why they are fed up.

He also has to play every game and is picked up from home in a Bentley then carried on a throne to the changing room.

What few people know is that he is Neil Warnocks love child and he has a 100% Blade tattoo on his shoulder.

This is all fact but there is also a rumour he told some lass at Nandos that he hates Owlstalk, especially Established.

To be honest he should be having a word with his agent, as im sure there are a few more perks could have been chucked his way.

Regardless of whether its Bothroyd or any other players from Premier clubs, aint this thead just another example of people on here spout off about how ambitious and Succesful Wednesda should be, but want it doing on the cheap.

Like it or not, these players command huge salaries, compared to most humble punters on the terraces, and if you want to even consider competing at this level then you have to go sone way to offering whats been asked for, regardless of whether the player concerned turns out to be a success or not, too many Owls supporters just dont live in the real financial world as far as football is concerned.

Regardless of what percentage we're playing, that's sodding ridiculous.

If a remarkably average player like him can earn that, there's no wonder football's in the mess that it is.

Agree 100% with that as regards clubs lower down the leagues, but Premiership sides and those that yo yo between the top two divisions dont seem to be doing too bad, rightly or wrongly if we want to be one of those sides then these vulgar amounts are something we have to be able/willing to match, 25k is not exactly MASSIVE in premier league wages.

Agreed but he's not a premier league player to be honest. Which is why he can't get in the PL's second worst team.

But the article also says QPR had a £25k wage cap so who knows what he eventually agreed....

I've always speculated he's on 35-40k wages due to him being a free agent. I suspect if QPR had to buy him they wouldn't have got him for less than £3 million so it (sort of) would make economic sense (at the time!!).
