@owlstalk
was hoping all day that DJ wouldn't play Madine because of his injury. i hoped we'd rest him with Derby in mind. wasn't fit, and should not have played. poor decision - and now we pay the price. I was shocked to see him in starting lineup given hed been hobbling wi a clamp on last week and only had it took off on Monday Owlstalk Shop
Guest Kray
He had a massive clamp on his leg until Monday morning Daft decision to play him then
Guest keyser soze
If people seriously think Madine is our biggest problem, then I'm worried. He's not had a preseason to speak of, when he's fully up to speed, he'll be one of our main men (again). And if anyone still thinks we won't miss Lines (not withstanding a new signing of genuine quality), I'd be interested to hear why.
Leaping Lannys Perm
He had a massive clamp on his leg until Monday morning If this is true then he shouldn't have played tonight. I genuinely believe he is a player who takes a while to get up to speed after injuries but if we persist with him, he'll come good.
Freshfish
...looked out of sorts and first touch looked unsure...Oldham set out just how they were going to deal with him...am pleased he was brought off. Needs games and he'll be fine.
@owlstalk
People always find a reason and excuse to doubt/slag Madine yet he always shoves it down their throats with goals flip da haterz Owlstalk Shop

Bluesteel
Injured already. Be nice if he could stay fit. He's hardly injury prone. One broken foot and a turned ankle doesnt make someone a crock. He will be needing to shift COG now though.
Bluesteel
He will fulfill his quota and get 19 goals minimum In the meantime he will have different partners who will come in, not score and lose their place for another striker to have a go Madine will keep scoring during this and yet the nobs will be slagging him off (and not the other strikers who dont score) And then there will be total fookwits who post stuff like "he needs to stop partying and goin out" or "he needs to stop gonna tcasino" etc And there will also be the wierdos who post stuff like "you only stick up for him cos he lives next door to ya Neil" as tho that makes ANY difference flip da haterz Tonight was probably a rougher game than we will get in many Championship games. Oldham just went for us physically and we couldnt handle it for a while, in fact I thought some of the tackles by Furman were over the top. In the Championship, Madine's more cultured game will come into play IMO. But it would be good if he could smash defenders about a bit more. Makes me glad to be out of that league, where you have to win the right to play football before doing so. Plus, everyone is well up for it, whereas we are one of many former Premier clubs in the Championship.

NYCOWL
I've only watched him play half a dozen times, but every time I've seem him he has looked like he's got all the attributes to be a good striker. I think he'll get better as well.
@owlstalk
Gary Madine - if he plays all the games he'll score at least 19 goals this season Owlstalk Shop
