Madine was class tonight despite their defenders swapping shirts with him several times during the game. Referee was pathetic not to spot it, although I now think Refs consider ripping someone's shirt off as part of a defender's armoury.

Madine played several players through into great goalscoring positions time and time again, especially first half. Unfortunately he did not receive much in return.

Lowe has a great football brain, makes great runs and takes up good positions.

However, he loses out to defenders all the time because of his lack of pace and misses far too many chances.

You could say that about anyone. My point is, Lowe is a professional, he gets paid handsomely to put the ball in the net, his workrate is unquestionable, but his strike rate is very poor for a striker playing at league 1 level.

If you look at the strikers on show tonight, Madine had one chance and scored one goal, Macken had two chances and scored one goal, Ryan Lowe had 5 excellent chances in the first half, he actually scored with his sixth chance, at this level that is simply not good enough.

Lowe has done really well for himself, he is playing at a level of football which most people would have thought was beyond him, but in all honesty, teams at the foot of the table have strikers with stike rates of one in six, not teams that want to get promoted.

We need a striker with a better strike rate than Lowe.

I think we'd all love a striker whos scored more than 3 goals in his last 4 games........

TBH if he continues that form (at the side of his partner whos is only on 3 in his last 4) until the end of the season ill be sorely dissapointed in him.

If he had taken 1 of his 3 gilt edged chances tonight in the first half I think it would have made the game totally different but that's why we are in 3rd place and not higher because we squander too many chances,we wernt at our best but had enough chances to score plenty.

His finishing is poor. That said, Madine was nowhere to be seen for most of the match..

Was dissapointed with the front two today, even if they did get a goal each.

The sign of a good striker is get one chance in the 95th minute and score it. Wish people would give Madine the credit when he merits it. At least DJ can see how well he played today faced with ridiculous refereeing.

The lad misses too many chances and was getting brought off just before he scored.

I agree that the ref was diabolical again.

He gave their goalie free kicks for being poo and not getting anywhere near the ball. Awful ref.
