Sky Sports understands that Peterborough United are to allow Emile Sinclair to leave the club.

The Posh signed Sinclair last August from Macclesfield Town, and he penned a three-year deal.

The 24-year-old has gone on to score seven goals in 18 starts for the club, but in recent times has been edged out of the first team.

Now following the signing of Tyrone Barnett from Crawley, manager Darren Ferguson has a wealth of options in the striking department.

The club are therefore ready to sanction Sinclair's move away from the club on loan, with a view to a permanent deal.

And Sky Sports understands that Blackpool and Coventry are leading the chase, although there are a number of clubs in the Championship and League One that are keen.

Sheffield Wednesday and Notts County are also believed to be interested in Sinclair, who could depart London Road by the end of the week.

Watched him play the last 30 minutes when he came on as sub at Donny the other week, not long enough to make an informed assesment, all i can say is he did very little during that time to suggest Peterborough have made a mistake in allowing him to leave.

7 goals in 18 starts in the Championship is a decent record. He scored 4 goals in 6 games for Macclesfield in August too.

Where do ppl get the faith in our strikers from. They don't score enough, fair enough they might not get fantastic service but when they do get the chances they feck them up. Good strikers put away the chances they get and also create their own chances. If they can't score in L1 what happens if/when we get promoted and they get even less chances

I think Blackpool have about 300 strikers already. Everytime a striker becomes available he's linked with Blackpool lol

That's because there stadium is magnificent and everyone wants to play there......... Not.....

Strikers go through spells where everything they touch hits the back of the net, we are in league 1 and have league 1 strikers, if they hit the net with every shot they wouldn't be in league 1,yes it is frustrating but the way we play ( ie service to our strikers) I think puts more emphasis on service and they will start to score
