Lincs Owl
No Wortd Cup. Surely no development of the stadium til we get in Premier League. So, 20 years away in my opinion. No contracts have been signed so Wednesday are under no obligation to enlarge the ground. It's already too big for us, unfortunately.

jonnyowl
Major work probably will happen when we are in the Premiership and MM has sold us on to someone who wants to put millions into us like Asian Football Investments are doing at Leciester. Don't think Milan will personally finance this, but some development may happen!

durhamowl3
Don't they have to start to keep the planning permission or else it expires in a few years. Probably spend about £50 starting something so planning permission becomes permanent but won't properly do the work til we're in the prem
The Baron
There was never any real prospect of our stadium being redeveloped unless: The English FA were successful in their bid to stage the World Cup Finals and Hillsborough was chosen as one of the venues. This was a very long shot on both accounts. Funding was secured to enable the ground to be used as a training and educational centre. This was the main reason that the ground was put forward as part of the World Cup bid along with raising the profile of the club for takeover purposes. Without going into too much detail I believe that certain people deliberately misled our fans into believing that the redevelopment was a viable proposition and that the first stages of the redevelopment were imminent. Why you might ask yourself? In an attempt to try and raise our profile to secure investment for a takeover, or alternatively secure government funds for training and educational activities. Don't expect any major redevelopment in the near future. A decent midfield pairing and a quality winger is all I am dreaming about for the time being!
