Some of you are total nobheads. I had the great pleasure of meeting someone from this board after the game who seemed a decent fella, but it looks like he is seriously in the minority. If we'll be the whipping boys of the division, can i just congratulate you on your whopping 2-0 victory over us, in a game where we could have scored a couple in the second half ourselves had it been for more clinical finishing/a bit more luck.

I just wanna state a few things;

1 - In no way will Robbo have been pissed off with the crowd shouting anything at him. Its old news to him, and you aren't the pioneers some of you seem to think you are

2 - Our third choice GK is around 3 times the size of Robbo....so you think he is bad you aint seen nothing yet

3 - The kit thing was unfortunate and a tad 'tinpot'

Seriously - lighten up.

For the record - I think TR is class - loved his reaction at the end of the play off final

My mrs has adopted D&R as her second team. She kept saying 'ah bless' when they did a feature on you. Patronising I know, but it keeps her interested.

Good luck for the season. A true fairly tale story you don't get much in football these days.

I think we'll be okay, the thing i thought we struggled with against at your place was your use of the whole width of the pitch, spreading the ball out wide. I want to see you do that at our place!! Aint happening! I dont think you'll be staying in League One, and thats not based on Saturday as day one of the season isnt reflective enough, but i thought that before.

Enjoyed my trip to Hillsborough very much, was less eerie than something historical going through that tunnel and being in that stand though.

I've actually never been through that, but expect it feels odd.

I think you guys will surprise a few. You looked like rabbits in headlights a little for the first 20, especially in defence but got to grips definitely in the second half. First games don't really mean too much - we battered Burnley 2 years ago but they ended up getting promoted

And we need more characters like Roberts in the game. Top man

Yeah i think we were more than a bit intimidated in the first twenty or so. Conceding like that was a bit cruel, but always happens at those kinds of times. Going to be very difficult going to some places this season, and our home form needs to be good. Fortunately we are usually very good at home, and its a hard ground to travel to.

Good luck to you I think the "whipping boy" comments were more a reflection of our dissapointment than a serious dig at you.

Thought your keeper was fantastic. Took it all in the way it was meant. Youre not that fat bird are you?

To be fair, we did rip you a new hole in the first 15 mins - and got the necessary goals too. It was evident then that your boys couldn't cope with us going forward. Our players stayed in second gear and became sloppy at times in the second half, which gave you a couple of half chances - which usually happens when you're in cruise control.

Roberts took it all in great banter - was good to see. That is why I hate and love Billy Sharp - he's brilliant with the banter, a clocky little runt and a Blade though!

What was going on with the kit? I assume the suppliers ballsed up the GK shirt and that was some temporary top?

My "WHIPPING BOYS" comment will prove to come true, lol but its was in frustration at the Owls, 2-0 at Home against the new boys!! last season the Teams were 2 divisions apart. time will tell, but Daggers will suffer many away defeats this season and many a lot greater than 2-0. Top teams will expose your weakness, most teams will expect 3 points against you.

Sorry your so upset, and i hope to be proved wrong. We all like the underdogs to do well.

I am not that fat bird - i am a fat bloke lol.

I didnt see anything regarding a fat bird - what happened?!

What seems to be ignored here, is that we are Dagenham. We have never played up here. We have a very little fanbase. We have no money. Our record fee paid compared to yours is nothing. That we are even here is phenomenal in itself. I am sure we will take some poundings this season - it happens. Last season in the FA Cup we went to Huddersfield (on a Friday night, as you Northerners seem to give preference to rugby...lol) and we got beat 6-1. I dont think there was as much separating us on Saturday as some of you seem to believe. That could be me being biased, but at the same time it could be you being biased in your case. You really weren't that good - after all, remember who you were playing, right? We started the game as if we were a tiny little team playing in league one for the first time against a club which in comparison to us is MASSIVE. What else did you expect? As much as we are the sort of team who will struggle to play on a big wide pitch such as yours, i think you may have trouble adapting your game when you come to our place. I noticed you like to play the ball out wide, and fair play - it worked on many occasions, and there were some clever balls played and play was switched from side to side numerous times, in short, in that respect - you looked good. Personally, i hope you do well. I always preferred Wednesday over United, i am pleased we got to play you - being a Dagger, its something i never expected to happen.

When you talk about our weakness thats going to be exploited - what do you think it is? What did you make from the game regarding us?

I think we can survive. Its not going to be easy, but i think we can do it. I could be proven right, or i could be proven wrong obviously. We have the strength, we have the belief in ourselves, and we have the advantage of playing at our place for 50% of the games we play. Judging on Saturdays game, i do think we can beat you at Victoria Road (or The London Borough Of Barking & Dagenham Stadium if you are a idiot). Every team has weaknesses.

I am not upset in the slightest, i think it was the perfect game for us to start with. The team who everyone will want to beat means you are the team everyone sees as the biggest and are expected to be going up. That means we got to see the best the division offered, and we didnt go away embarassed - in fact we created a few chances ourselves. We didnt look much like scoring, but in the second half we did look more likely than you. Whether it is as you claim, because Wednesday took their foot off the gas though, is another thing entirely. I was proud of Dagenham, no matter what gets said. We conceded a silly goal, we didnt recover and fell two behind - probably due to inexperience, but after that you didnt really look like a team who were two divisions above us last season. In fact, the stats tell of a story of a game with pretty even possession, and more attempts at least, from Dagenham. Yeah we need to be better, but if we were that bad the fact is - you do too.
