The Night-Owl Posted January 19, 2017 Share Posted January 19, 2017 Knowing our luck Villa will probably buy both Hourihane and Irvine, as well as Lansbury and Rhodes If we miss out on Hourihane and Irvine, then I can't think of any other midfielders at this level worth pursuing, and we'd be best off sticking with what we got and hoping we see the best of Abdi. Groundhopping Owl Posted January 19, 2017 Share Posted January 19, 2017 He's really impressed in his short stint in the Championship, exactly the sort of driving force we need in midfield. Would be a brilliant Hourihane alternative. That said, Burton have far more of a reason to hold onto him until the summer than the Dingles do with Hourihane - he could be the difference in a tight relegation scrap. I suspect he'll be moving on in the summer and at that point I hope we're at the front of what will be a very long queue if he keeps his current form up.
