  1. The League cup is run by the EFL, not the FA. FA Premier league sides don't have a say (theoretically anyway) in it's running.
  2. He got a 'bounce' out of WBA Donny and Wednesday. He didn't get us relegated at all. Chansiri got us relegated with his 6 points deducted for cooking the books. We would have stayed up otherwise. Beats me why some folk hate him so much. I doubt wether Klopp or Guardiola could have improved on 96 points last season. Head coaches don't have a magic wand they can wave and get instant results.
  3. Just wish Moore had stopped for the first 10 games of the season. Pretty sure we'd be safe from relegation by now. If he's given time, he'll turn Vale round.
  4. What on earth makes you think the vast majority seem happy with heading for League 1 again? And why are you calling us thick? Needless insults.
  5. What did the agents actually do at Leeds to earn over £13 million? A more sensible system to me would be that they get the highest deal possible for their players and then charge the player for their services, not the club. If Leeds signed 13 players this season(I've no idea....I don't read about Leeds), that's £1m per player. Puts me off wanting to go to football.
  6. A lot are cockneys. House prices in Lincs are around a third of what folk pay in London so properties in places like Skegness are popular with retired Southerners. Anyway, back on topic. I think most of our next 6 points will come from EFL1. Hopefully I'm wrong....I often am.
  7. Cos football is supposed to be both a sport and entertainment. If we go down, I'll still be a Wednesdayite and I bet 23,000 others will. And we'll still find something to laugh about. One of the first things I noticed about Lincolnshire when I moved here was that the locals didn't seem to have as much sense of humour as Sheffielders. I miss the nutjobs,as you call them.
  8. We would have to win 3 games by huge margins (a 24 goal swing) to finish above Swansea who are currently 14th with 53 points. So yes it's mathematically possible. Swansea would have to lose their last 3 games etc etc. An 8-0 win at Blackburn would be handy.
  9. Not heard the word rozzers for about 40 years. Is it making a comeback? I prefer Peelers personally.
  10. Years ago at the Old Showground, Scunthorpe the game was approaching 90 minutes and Scunny were winning so the small contingent of fans in the all standing away end were slowly drifting out. Some player hit a long range shot into the crowd and we saw a youth run really fast, catch it like a professional goalkeeper without stopping and he just kept running through the open gate. About 5,000 people just stood gobsmacked waiting for him to come back but of course he never did. Caused some laughter.
  11. Probably only a couple to be honest because we rarely get in the opposites penalty area. But there's always loads of shirt tugging at corners. If we'd got that Cardiff penalty it could have meant an equaliser and extra point. In our position just a couple of extra points could make a massive difference.
  12. Just been watching Ross County beat Rangers 3-2. Rangers got a penalty and I'm sure the commentator said it was Rangers 18th of the season. And they've only played 32 games. Don't know if the 18 includes cup games or not. And we can't get one. Questions should be asked in the House. I certainly mentioned it to my wife.
  13. They didn't surprise me too much. They played Ipswich off the park and somehow managed to lose. Then won 5-1 at Sunderland, where we still have to go. I was more surprised they lost 5-0 at Bristol City. Very inconsistent. Anyway to simplify it, we have to do better than Huddersfield and Bham. Not impossible. We played well yesterday but without a proven goalscorer, we knew before the season began, it would be an uphill struggle. Where's the worldies we were scoring last season?
  14. I don't watch American films so I've never heard of these two blokes before. Still haven't a clue who they are, but if they are rich, what on earth made them choose a small town non league club like Wrexham? It's smaller than Chesterfield and the stadium even less impressive than Chessies. I went to watch them a few years back, on hols in North Wales. How come they didn't go for a big city club with obvious potential but down on it's uppers. Like...errr....us. I don't get it.
  15. I've noticed a few posters seem to think we've had only 3 spells in the 3rd tier. If we go down it will be the 5th time. 1975 plus 4 times this century.
