Train strike QPR 6 April

Keeping you updated

Important update: planned industrial action may impact your journey.

As you may be aware, industrial action at LNER has been announced on Saturday 6 April 2024.

We are currently reviewing the outcome of this proposed action and how this might impact your LNER train journey. Please note trains on this day have been temporarily removed from sale, so services are showing as “Not Available” on our website and app.

If industrial action goes ahead, we will still be running trains, but the number of services will be reduced.

We will be in touch again at least 5 days before your travel date to let you know if your journey is affected and what your travel options are.

In the meantime, we recommend that you keep checking our latest updates here.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause to your travel plans.

Kind regards,

The LNER Team

EMR aren't striking on the Saturday, but LNER, Northern and TPE are so I expect the EMR to be rammed especially coming back.

I've already booked our tickets but after the Millwall game when there were no trains from Kings Cross we couldn't even get on the EMR train from St Pancras that we were booked on, let alone the seats.

While EMR staff are on strike Friday and not Saturday,  there will be an overtime ban all weekend. So services will probably affected on Saturday too.

these strikes are almost permanent now , it wont be long before the other lot rmt are back striking again too . its wrecking lots of days out weekends away etc etc . travelling is no longer fun its just become a bag of stress whether its rail or by road.

there will be some  trains running from doncaster to london cant see how going to sheffield is an option for some , as there will be almost no trains to leeds doncaster that day with northern and transpennine on strike that day too. so dont see newcastle been on our train , and can barnsley supporters afford a taxi from sheffield to barnsley? thats the big question.
